Odisea Burbujas (Featuring Esquivel)

Burbujas

rapidshare

I had planned to upload this on Kid's Day (we celebrate kid's day in mexico on april 30th), but I was away until now.

This was the most popular children's show back in the early 80's, it was called Odisea Burbujas (Bubbles Odyssey), and featured some talking animals: Patas Verdes (The Frog), Pistachon ZigZag (The Bumblebee), Mafafa Musguito (The Lizard), Mimoso Raton (The Mouse), commanded by absent minded Profesor A.G. Memelovsky, fighting the thrash loving always polluting Ecoloco (one of the best villains of all time).

They always traveled through space and time in their spaceship made of a Rock LP, a cup and a straw (called Popotito 22), meeting famous historical characters.

Well here comes the interesting part: Juan Garcia Esquivel wrote, composed, arranged and played the music, so there's plenty of zum zum zum's, guitars and a very famous choral group: El Coro De Los Hermanos Zavala (The One Hundred Voices of the Hermanos Zavala), and yes, it's an album for kids, but actually the music is very good (you'll like it).

Thanks to my friend DJAgustin for this one!!!

So if you're an Esquivel fan, this album would be an extra treat for you!!

And Here's The Track List:

Side A:
01- Odisea Burbujas
02- El Tobogan Del Tiempo
03- Click-Click
04- Mugre, Basura y Smog
05- Popotito 22
Side B:
06- Un Juego Nada Mas
07- Cuando Te Sientas Triste
08- La Marcha De Las Vitaminas
09- La Regadera Micromacromatica
10- Somos Diferentes Pero Amigos De Verdad
11- Odisea Burbujas

Please Enjoy!! and remember to play this record only on Stereophonic Equipment!

I love this one -- a little humour is always welcome -- as is Esquivel!
I really appreciate your blog.

... Holy hell. Now THIS I'd completely forgotten about.

Do you by chance happen to own any of the old um... dammit, I forgot the name, but they sold vinyl records with magazines back in the 1980's. I remember owning one with Katy La Oruga at one point. EditoPoster? Something like that. I think there was an Odisea Burbujas release there, as well.

Very bizarre- I downloaded Burbujas from another blog some months ago and the track list was entirely different! I'll have to check this one out for comparison.

Hello Mr. Mexican't

Thank you so very much for this traveling back in time. You can't imagine how many memories come to my mind listening to these songs.

Anyway, let me tell you that i found your blog googling for odisea burbujas songs, especially the one sung by Mimoso Ratón called ¿Dónde están los asteroides? A few days ago i was singing it to my daughter, and she loved it. She kept telling me 'sing it again mom...' So i thought of searching the web and i found you. The sad thing is that it's not in this album.

If you happen to have it in your grandma's closet, please!, don't keep it to yourself! I used to have that LP when i was a child, but guess is not around my parent's house anymore.

Thank u again for making me remember good Mexican programming for children on TV.
